Meet El Sauce, this month’s Roaster’s choice, a Colombia Cauca micro-lot.
Meet Heimer Montilla Ordoñez,
one of the four small hold growers whose beans were chosen for excellent agricultural practices as well a distinct, similar flavor profile. Not pictured but equally involved growers Alberto Valencia Paz, Rivainery Guevara Trujillo, and Herney Mopan Hoyos.
These awesome guys are generational farmers. So when someone asks, Does it really matter where my coffee comes from? You can think of El Sauce and answer with a resounding, Yes! Quality, a fair price, and sustainable growing practices intersect to allow Heimer (and his children’s children) to keep growing delicious coffee and for all of us (and our children’s children) to keep drinking it! That is profoundly good coffee from farm to porch.
